God's Faithfulness

"He is the Rock, his works are perfect and all His ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is He." Deuteronomy 32:4

The etymology of the word "faithful" or "faithfulness" is derived from a Hebrew root meaning to stay or support. In the dictionary, being faithful is synonymous to being loyal, consistent with reality and being there all the time.

There are times when people think that God isn't there. When there is a tendency to compare ourselves to others, thinking that they are far above us, then a prediction that He loves others more than He loves us comes up. Early childhood, Christian parents would teach their children about God's love and how He loves everyone He created. But when a time when children become grown-ups and experience life's difficulties, then the question would arise: "Where is my God who loves me?" Circumstances like having a heavy burden even though we are trying to be a better person than others and trying to be the best that we can be for God while others are having all the pleasures of life taking their problems so easily that they just get to do and be the way they want to be. Then reflecting our situation to what others have, asking "Why me, not them?".

"Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death" (Rev. 2:10,11).

They say that experience is the best teacher, that is why we get to experience all the hardships in life for us to learn the more complicated tasks that God is preparing for us. Others might be experiencing an easy life as we see in our naked eyes, but there are hidden stains that we can't see. They might be experiencing more pains than what we have. People don't know people. Only God knows us. He is the creator of everything. He created you and me. He has the right to give and take away. The only thing we have to remember is his promise and believe that He is a faithful God.

Also, it isn't God's faithfulness to us that is the real issue, but instead our faithfulness to God!
